Neck Care

Neck Care Routine

The neck is one of the neglected parts of the body while cleaning other parts of your body. But the fact is that it is one of the areas of the body most vulnerable to skin darkening. This is because the skin is much thinner on the neck than it is on the face, making it more prone to UV damage from natural sunlight and any other forms of UV light.

Remedies For Dark Neck
Having a dark neck is a quite common complaint. There are reasons for this problem.
•  One is lack of proper cleaning. Many of us forget or ignore to clean the neck while cleaning our face and this leads to accumulation of dirt that makes the skin on the neck dark.
•  The other reason may be because of several fine folds of skin around the neck that have a tendency to trap dust and sweat particles. Over a period of time, this also leads to darkening of the skin. What ever the reason may be, cleansing and then lightening the color of your skin is the best way.
Milk acts as cleanser, use plain milk to cleanse your neck. Milk is an excellent cleanser as well as a good toner. After cleansing, scrub your neck with a granular exfoliating scrub. Any scrub that you get in medical shop is enough or you can make your own scrub. Make a pasty mix of olive oil and sugar crystals and use this to scrub your neck in gentle circular motions till all the sugar dissolves. This scrub will help to even out your skin tone. The other scrub is mix crud with crushed walnut with 2 drops of lemon juice. Apply in circular portion while using walnut scrub; be careful because it may hurt you. Massage for 15 min and then wash with warm water.
There are also some uncommon and unusual problems, one such type is pigmentation problem. In such case applying aloe Vera gel is the best. Application of lime juice to the neck will also help. Do this only at night, so that you do not go out in the sun with remnants of lime juice on your neck. This will make your neck darker, since skin that has been exposed to a mix of lime juice and sunlight will do that.

How to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Your Eyes

Do you want to completely eradicate those annoyingly nasty looking dark circles that are under your eyes? If yes, then read on...
No other facial flaw is more visible to everyone else who is looking at your face, than dark circles are. The appearance of dark circles is a sure sign of someone who is unhealthy, whether by stress or by poor living habits. The culprit is generally a combination of things like sun damage, heredity, allergies, aging, and of course - lack of sleep!
But even if you get enough sleep and you are stress free, there is possibility that you may develop dark circles with age. This is the outcome of the layer of fat underneath your eyes that actually thickens with time and gives the illusion of dark circles, when you are in certain lighting.
In addition to that extra fat layer that contributes to dark circles, years of sun damage causes microscopic blood vessels to loose their stability below your eyes, therefore adding to the problem.

So what can you do about dark circles?

Below are the 3 MOST simple ways that you can follow which will help with your tired looking eyes

  • You can use a concealer for a quick fix. Using yellow will neutralize the blues, purples, and husky hues on the skin. This does not remove the problem, but can build your confidence for the day, by alleviating the 'tired look'.
  • You can use tea bags and cucumbers... Yes there is definitely something to those commercials where women have cucumbers and tea bags on top of their eyes. Both tea bags and cucumbers reduce inflammation and decrease swelling. Tea bags are especially good to use for dark swollen circles because there is tannin inside of the tea that helps with eliminating the puffiness.
  • You should use more anti-oxidants. Antioxidant treatments help to reduce fluid buildup under the eyes, which decreases the dark circles. Therefore, you should go for treatments that involve a lot of vitamin C and GHK copper peptides. Also, vitamin K is great for restoring stability and strength to the blood vessels under the eyes, which reduces their proliferation

Home Remedies for Pimples

If you find a pimple on your face a few days before any special occasion then all you can do is use some home remedies. There exist many home remedies for pimples but the term must be clearly understood. An effective home remedy for pimple should transcend the usual image of messy poultices whipped up from exotic vegetables in the kitchen blender. There is no limit to creativity on this one: potatoes, basil, garlic, vinegar, lemon and limejuice and even toothpaste have all been tried. Many levels of success have also been claimed. Basically, anything that does not involve prescription medicine or surgery and can be carefully utilized without medical supervision is considered a home remedy.
To this effect, there are certain domestic therapies that have proved very effective in controlling pimples. Sunbathing is one of them (a more refined version is an ultraviolet lamp, but overuse of this apparatus can result in complications, particularly if certain medicines are being taken). Sunbathing is a long-term measure and must be incorporated into one's regular schedule to be successful. Also, the affected skin must be cleansed of all topical applications such as therapeutic creams and makeup before sunbathing.
Tea tree oil has recently found increased support with certain dermatologists and can be safely used at home. Whether its use in aromatherapy is as beneficial as direct application is arguable, but topical application is now highly recommended. However, it must be borne in mind that tea tree oil causes the secretion of extra sebum, and skin must be washed carefully after a certain time.
Based on medical evidence, it was observed that clove oil and fenugreek was very much effective in controlling pimples. Aloe vera gel was also found to be effective. However, it must not be assumed that the above substances can be used without any side effects; always consult a dermatologist before using any home remedy for pimples.

In short, the home remedies for pimples are listed below:

  • Switch from oil-based makeup to water-based makeup because the oil in many makeup products can clog your pores and lead to pimples.
  • Wash all of your makeup off every night before sleeping. During sleep your skin excretes oil, if you are still wearing your makeup this can mean pimple-causing clogged pores.
  • Switch your product choices i.e. experiment with different kinds of soaps, shampoos, lotions, and sunscreens -- anything you use on pimple-prone areas.
  • Stop washing your face frequently. One or two times a day should be enough; any more and your skin will start producing extra oil to replace what is lost with every washing. This means that if you stop washing your face you will become over-oily.
  • Avoid anything that stays in contact with your skin. Another cause of breakouts is tight clothing. The brim of a hat or waistband can halt your skin's natural cleansing processes and lead to more pimples.
Medication and commercial acne-remedies can be life-saving in an emergency, but it is a good idea to focus your treatment on the above causes of your pimples instead of the symptom itself as your skin will often adapt to whichever remedy you habitually use leading to dependence

Everyone has different skin, and those in your family are more likely to have run into the same problems you may be experiencing. Someone in your family may have already found beauty secrets to help eliminate early wrinkles or to ward off acne for your skin type. For more common beauty secrets, search online. Take the information you find with a grain of salt, however. Some things are just plain silly, while others may only work for some women.

EACH GENERATION THINKS THEY HAVE UNIQUE ISSUES

Beauty secrets come and go. Each generation thinks they have unique issues that no old method could possibly touch. This is both true and false.
